Abstract

The transition from academia to the field of work is a challenging process for newly formed nurses. Reflection in the pedagogical training of the teaching nurse is paramount because of the complexity of the professional practice included in the task of education. Aiming to address the challenges faced by nursing professionals regarding their inclusion in teaching. The present study is an exploratory bibliographical review of scientific literature. When we learn about the historical trajectory of nursing we can elucidate the lived scenario and provide a means of understanding about its evolution. Nursing is a profession that aims to assist, care, research and educate. Educar is one of the main roles that the nursing professional assumes in his professional practice, not only focusing on health education, but also the training of new professionals. The teaching work is permeated by several didactic-pedagogical obstacles related to the teacher, also to the student and to the institution. It is considered that the training of the nurse professional is based on the vision of care, since the proposal of Florence Nightingale, won therapeutic scientific purposes for care and education. The salient difficulty that the egress facing the suffering in the beginning of his professional life is related to the lack of preparation in the academic formation about didactic, pedagogical and psychological teaching, based on historical precepts highlighting the valuation of the professional assistencialista, leaving the second of teaching.
