ERGONOMIC ANALYSIS OF A WORKSTATION IN A TIRE INDUSTRY: A CASE STUDY IN THE RETREADING PRESSES SECTOR

Abstract

This paper presents a study analyzing the phase of the industrial process termed "tire retreading press sector" within a multinational renowned for tire manufacturing, in accordance with the parameters established by the Ministry of Labor and Employment through Regulatory Standard 17. Through Preliminary Ergonomic Analysis, activities necessitating further examination were identified, leading to Ergonomic Work Analysis and necessary adjustments for the safe execution of tasks without harm to workers' health. All non-conforming aspects were assigned deadlines for rectification, along with specification of responsible parties. Beyond physical ergonomic issues, abnormalities pertaining to organizational ergonomics were identified, with recommendations provided for their correction. The proposed adjustments aim to yield gains in quality and productivity while ensuring the well-being of those involved in the process.
