Abstract

Knowledge is a resource that has been gaining ground in Management Science, however this knowledge ends up being directed to management models, to the business activity that it proposes, while legal knowledge is ignored by many in business. This paper analyzes legal knowledge as a factor of competitive advantage over the perspective of the Resource Based View Theory. Through documentary research conducted content analysis with qualitative approach. Research has shown that there are business implications for legal ignorance, leading to an additional operating cost for the business, and concluded that legal knowledge is a resource that generates competitive advantage
