HOMEMADE SOAP PRODUCTION FROM REUSE OIL: TEACHING METHODOLOGY AS A WAY OF ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION

Abstract

This paper aims to show an experimental intervention project that recycled residual oil as a tool to awareness about the preservation and environment education. The activity was carried out in a public school in Coari city, Amazon. Thematic workshop was held in the environment week, with students from the 2nd and 3rd year of high school at night turn. The students could reflect on the consequences of inadequate disposal of waste oils in environment and thinking to use this soap homemade as economic possibity. In addition, the students were able to put into practice the theoretical concepts of Chemistry and contribute to the learning of the contents of stoichiometry and transformation of matter.
